The Deck

Approach

A riverside restaurant and bar on the Chao Phraya, designed around the long Bangkok sunset.

The Deck is a study in sunset. A seventeen-metre terrace in charred teak runs the length of the river frontage; the interior reads as a single low, warm room with an open kitchen at one end and a copper-clad bar at the other. Built, specified and scheduled so that the best seat in the house is always the one next to you. Awarded at the FX International Interior Design Awards in 2022.
