Bangalore is India's IT capital — so what happens when you design a hotel out of pixels?

The whole hotel runs on one idea: pixelation. Bangalore is India's technology capital, and the design takes that literally — breaking pattern, light and surface into pixel-like fragments, then using them as the thread that ties every space together. It begins in the double-height lobby. A sculptural brass chandelier hangs like an exploded grid above a tall feature wall where patterned metal frames and gold-veined stone are stacked into a pixelated mosaic. The palette is deliberate and stated outright — blue for calm, yellow to stimulate the mind, metal accents for prestige, and richly textured fabrics drawn from India's textile heritage. A gold geometric lattice, rooted in kolam floor drawings and henna patterns, recurs as laser-cut screens, joinery and carpet throughout the public areas. The journey unfolds across a generous ground floor: a lounge and café around a sculptural island bar, an all-day restaurant screened in gold filigree, and an outdoor terrace of rope-weave furniture and planting set against the city skyline. A feature stair opens around a full-height tree held in a brass-mesh enclosure — a quiet, green pause in a metropolitan hotel. Guest rooms carry the concept home: pixel-pattern carpets that read as the Bangalore skyline blurred into colour, a mirrored pixel-mosaic artwork above the bed, an industrial black-mesh wardrobe, and warm walnut grounding bright yellow and deep blue accents. The result is a city hotel with one confident idea followed all the way through — heritage and technology resolved into a single, pixelated language that could only be Bangalore.
